Zaingair cricket championship concludes, Sanga Eleven lifts trophy

‘Sanga Eleven’ Sunday won the final match of ‘Zaingair cricket Championship Magraypora’. The finals were played at sports ground Magraypora Botingoo zaingair between Sanga eleven and Star eleven Sopore. Hundreds of spectators witnessed the match.


Sanga eleven while batting first secored 163 runs in 20 overs with all rounder Mohd shaffi’s brilliant 40 runs. Chasing the target score, Star eleven sopore managed to score only 133 runs losing to Sanga eleven by 30 runs.


Zubair Ahmad was declared Man of the match while as Muhammad Shaffi took man of the tournament title.


During the final match social activist Irfan Dilawar bhat was the chief guest who felicitated  both teams and distributed prizes between them. While speaking at the presentation ceremony, Irfan Dilawar Butt, urged youth to introduce sports as an in separable part in their lives.


“It is the spark of sports that ignites the mind enroute to peaceful and purposeful life. Indulging in  sports activities like Volley ball, Cricket, Football etc helps youth to recognise their hidden potential and channelise it for the betterment of society”, Butt said


He further added that, sports is the ultimate panacea to the social evils like drug-abuse, gambling and theft.


Chief guest applauded the organising body Bilal Habib baba, Mohd Amin baba and Burhan bashir dar for their superb management and organising this championship.


Other renowned persons of Magraypora Botingoo also graced the occasion.
