Carrying forward the Green and Clean Kashmir Mission, Department of Social Forestry Division Baramulla in collaboration with Kashmir Women for Inclusive Development and Equality (KWIDE) Wednesday held a plantation drive at Government Boys Higher Secondary and Government Boys High School Singhpora Kalan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Hundreds of trees were planted by the students, officials and school administration.
The plantation drive at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School was kick started by Principal Kulwant Singh and Farooq Hussain Dar Zonal president JKTF zone Singhpora Kalan.
Similarly at Government Boys High School the plantation drive was kick started by Abdul Rashid Mir, ZEO Zone Singhpora Kalan and headmistress Harjinder Kour.
Jammu and Kashmir Teacher’s Forum Organiser Singhpora Kalan, Hilal Ahmad and members of teacher fraternity Gursharn Kour, Zahida Shah, Nargis Bakshi Azmat Haroon and Head Assistant Mohammad Haneef also graced the occasion.
The students of both the schools actively participated in the plantation drive by planting Deodar/Pine plants all around the school campus.
On this occasion Social Forestry Division Baramulla extended warm wishes to Muzamil Bashir Coordinator KWIDE and his team for their active coordination and collaboration in making this event a successful one.
