In a bid to highlight the role of media in public health awareness and to create a sense of understanding among people about the availability of health services, District Hospital Baramulla today organized a day-long Seminar with the theme ‘Role of Media in public health awareness’ at Dak Bangalow Baramulla in which media persons and other functionaries of health department participated.
On this occasion, various speakers spoke on the topic wherein they hailed the efforts of doctors and medical authorities for improving health care facilities in various health institutions especially district hospital Baramulla besides highlighting the problems confronted by patients at various levels.
Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr Syed Masood termed the media fraternity as a vital component in bridging the gap between health department and people at large. He impresses upon them to highlight various medicare facilities that are being served in district hospital Baramulla.
Moreover he appealed people to avail benefits of various government driven services besides stressing upon fulfilling their responsibilities in safeguarding these assets.
