BDO, Tehsildar among 340 employees suspended for absence, ‘non-performance’

A block development officer (BDO) and a Tehsildar along with 340 other employees were placed under suspension in Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ghulam Mohammad Dar said that the BDO, Tehsildar and 340 collies were found unauthorizedly absent from their duties. He said that they have been placed under suspension for remaining absent as well as for their non-performance in clearing snow from roads in the area.

Machil sector along with most parts of the Kupwara received heavy snowfall last week.
