Students from GDC Baramulla and Sopore Monday took out a solidarity march in support of Rohingya muslims. The protesting students raised slogans in favour of Rohingya muslims while carrying the placards and banners reading ‘Stop killing of Innocent muslims in Burma’.

While voicing concern on the issue, they said the atrocities being committed on the Muslims in Burma should be stopped by world leaders.

“It is unfortunate that the world community is acting as mute spectator over the killings of Rohingya Muslims,” said a group of students

The students chanting pro-Islamic and anti-Myanmar government slogans demanded halt to killings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

They also raised slogans against Aung San Sui Kyi and her government.

Similar protests were held inside the GDC Sopore campus.

Students in Baramulla college also held protests against the arrest of photojournalist Kamran Yousuf.
