Baramulla Police solves theft case in 72 hours; Duo arrested with stolen goods

Acting swiftly Baramulla police solved a burglary case within 72 hours and recovered stolen property worth lakhs. Two burglars were arrested by police in this case.

 

In a press statement, Baramulla police said that on September 8th, Police station Baramulla received a complaint of theft from Rafi Jabar Mir son of Abdul Jabar Mir, a resident of Delina Baramulla.

 

During the intervening night of 7th, 8th September burglars barged into the electronics shop of Rafi Jabar Mir at Delina and stole mobile phones, worth lakhs. A case under FIR No 155 of 2017 u/s 457, 380 RPC was registered in this case.

 

Hailing the efforts of SHO Baramulla and his steam the statement reads that two burglars Altaf Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Majeed Bhat and Zahoor Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool Zargar residents of KrankShivan Sopore were found involved in commission of offence and later arrested within a short span of time.

 

“During questioning both the accused admitted that they have stolen the mobile phones and 53 mobile phones of different models were recovered from them,” the statement reads.
