A plantation drive was today held at district hospital Baramulla which was started by Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Masood by planting a conifer tree in the premises of the hospital. Doctors and various officers from forest department were also present on the occasion.
The hospital possessing a unique position in north Kashmir, will be made pollution and garbage free by planting about 4000 conifer trees in the first phase provided by the forest department. The officials at hospital said that various measures will be taken to restore the beauty and glory of the hospital so that the people in general and the patients in particular will get pure atmosphere.
The medical superintendent said that such a move will benefit the patients coming for the treatment. He also sought public cooperation in keeping the hospital clean by saying that people can play an active part in keeping the environment clean.
